Abalonyx moves to a new and larger production site summer 2019
We see strong growth in demand for our products and are now moving to a larger production site close to Drøbak, Norway.
Our sales of graphene oxide and derived products increased by about 80 % in 2018 as compared to 2017, and we foresee a further strong increase in 2019.

Successful Production of rGO in Kg-quantities
Oslo, Norway, February 3.rd 2016: Abalonyx has successfully produced a first 40 g sample of thermally reduced rGO in its new rGO-reactor with a capacity of about 1 Kg/day production capacity. Oslo, Norway – December 23, 2015 - Abalonyx receives funding from Horizon 2020 to develop Graphene Oxide derivatives for use in Regenerative Medicine.
Abalonyx AS, a leader in graphene oxide production and application, has been awarded a grant from the European Commission as part of its Horizon 2020 research and innovation initiative.
Abalonyx wins grant for ambitious R&D-programme
Abalonyx wins a grant for ambitious R&D-programme in collaboration with Skaland Graphite AS and Institute for Energy Technology. Abalonyx and its partners will obtain 4.8 MNOK (about 630.000 USD) from the Research Council of Norway www.forskningsradet.no over a 27 month period to develop an application of graphene oxide for use within the oil and gas sector. The technology to be developed will first be tested with parties active in the North Sea with future international commercialization.
Abalonyx has signed an agency agreement with Fullerex (www.fullerex.com) to support its commercialization of graphene oxide.
Abalonyx Graphene Oxide production capacity has reached 1 ton per year
With the increased capacity we can produce up to one ton GO p.a. Further increase in capacity will be implemented in response to market demand. We are grateful to Innovation Norway for supporting this first phase of the upgrading project. In the second stage, capacity will be increased to about 10 tons p.a.

Abalonyx successfully completed Graphene Oxide (GO) production pilot.
Abalonyx has successfully run its pilot reactor to produce twenty 160 g batches of GO. Product quality and reproducibility were found to be fully satisfactory.
High throughput SILAR established and verified
Abalonyx has established an automated laboratory set-up for high throughput "successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction". Up to 48 samples can be run in parallel. The set-up includes several features that are beyond the customary state of the art. The set-up has now been tested for a variety of thin-film compositions, including oxides, carbonates, and phosphates with very satisfactory results.
March 19.th 2010 - Abalonyx files 6 patent applications
Today, March 19th. 2010, Abalonyx has filed six Norwegian patent application to protect its enabling technology.
Abalonyx was in 2006 granted 4.75 MNOK from the Norwegian Research Council as support for a 2 1/2 year R&D program aimed at the development of target biomimetic materials.
